Hey everyone!
I’m Zoe, and I finally took the plunge to create this site because I’m obsessed with travelling! I think about it ALL the time – everyone who knows me will easily agree.
At this point in my life (into the 4th decade on Earth) all I want to do is travel as often as I can, mainly because it makes me happy. I’m always planning for some future adventure!

The travel “bug” runs in my family. My parents go away a lot, sometimes with me tagging along…

Whilst I enjoy taking trips with family and friends, I’ve developed a real passion for solo trips. It can be daunting at first, but it’s amazing in so many ways. I wholeheartedly recommend solo travel to everyone, simply because of the freedom you get.
Holiday highlights
For me, 2015 was a fantastic year as I managed to see 12 countries in 12 months! The trips varied in length from 48 hours in Cologne, to just over 3 weeks in South East Asia. It was the year I took my first solo trip to Copenhagen, as well as having a trip with 9 members of my partner’s family! Overall, it was a fantastic year, and taught me so much. I loved it so much I’m doing it again for 2025 – but might not stop and just keep aiming for a trip every month until I’m penniless!

My biggest challenge when I travel is food. I’m a fussy eater, and I mean REALLY fussy. I don’t eat fruit or vegetables (but I am trying to change this), and I’m not a big fan of meat either. Essentially I like the bad foods! I do struggle in some places as I often can’t try the local dishes.
I know I’m missing out, but I’ve tried to overcome this short-coming without success. Nevertheless, I’m happy to take my own snacks, and it doesn’t stop me from going and I still have a blast.
Something else you may notice from photos of me, is that my hair colour changes quite a bit! I’ve been dyeing my hair since I was in university, and go through phases. In the past I’ve dyed it purple, red, black, black and red, brown and green, pink, blue and at the moment (2025) it’s blonde.
I’m lucky to have a really supportive man in my life (affectionately referred to as “the boy”) who’s happy for me to go off on these adventures without him. I let him come with me occasionally, so he doesn’t feel too left out!

The future
There are still so many places in the world I want to visit, and my list keeps on growing. All because I can’t stop myself from looking at holiday deals, and places fellow travellers have recommended… I look at all options, and generally don’t mind where I travel to.
For me, the planning part is almost as fun as the actual trip itself, because I can see all the amazing things I can do when I get there (eventually)! I like to flag places to visit on my Google Maps so that I can easily see if something is in an area I wast to visit. Its a great visual tool and one that also highlights where I’ve been and what I’ve seen.
My wish
My goals and wishes for this site, is to provide everyone with useful information and helpful planning tips, based on my experiences. A trip is never the same for any two people, but insight is always useful.
Everyone wants to make the most of their holiday, and I know that by planning it well, you can optimise the time you have.
To all you wonderful people out there, I wish you happy adventures, and hope you continue always wanting to travel!
